In modern day medicine the lymphatic system is widely mis-understood. Little attention is given to the lymphatic system unless their is a prominent problem with one of the lymph nodes, such as swelling or cancer in the node area.
Understanding the lymphatic system provides insights into the body’s profound ability to care for itself.
Dr John Douillard tells us that in the Ayurveda medical teachings, the lymphatic system is the first system doctors treat, but in the western countries, its not usually addressed until a diagnosis of cancer is made.
Many western countries treat the problem at hand.
Overlooking the cause of the problem,
Resulting in added stress on the body from side effects of medications.
Often while more illnesses continue to manifest within the body.
The cause may be related to excess stress which…
Causes Poor Drainage of the Lymphatic System
Causes Poor Drainage of the Lymphatic System
The lymphatic system is like the drains in your house and the blood is like the faucets. If the drains are clogged in your sink or toilet, do you only clean the faucets?
The biggest drain we have in the body is the lymphatic system, which can stay clogged for many years. When he co-directed a cancer center with Deepak Chopra, one of his jobs was to train and certify medical doctors in Ayurvedic medicine.
His medical doctor students were constantly telling him, “We were never taught such details about the lymphatic system.” They knew it was a place where cancers reside and were taught to remove cancerous lymph nodes, but the purpose of this system was never really discussed…
Dr John Douillard – shares some insight
- Minimize stress – Stress causes acidity (The lymphatic system doesn’t drain well in an acidic environment)
- Drink plenty of water to flush toxins through the lymphatic system – (Hot water is best)
- Include some exercise in your daily routine
- Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables – (While they are in season)
- EG: Eat acidic food in winter – (Include red beets)
- EG: Eat alkaline foods in the warmer months (70% berries, cherries & leafy greens)
- Have three meals per day – (NOT six)
Minimizing your intake of highly processed foods and foods with additives will help prevent your lymphatic system from getting sluggish. As a rule it’s best to eat organic produce.
Raw fruit and veges is easier for your body to digest & cleanses the body at a faster rate.
