How This Baking Soda Mask Will Get Rid Of Pimples
Baking Soda (also known as Bicarbonate of soda) is amphoteric (which means it can operate as an acid or a base), therefore it can help to neutralize any pH imbalances in the skin. Pimple breakouts are often caused by a pH skin imbalance.
Baking soda also helps to dry the skin, so is good for removing excess oils that can cause acne/blackhead breakouts. It also contains mild anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, which can help to reduce the size of the pimples.
When mixed with water, the baking soda paste has a slight gritty texture, that acts as a mild exfoliant. This exfoliant texture cleans the skin and removes excess oils and dead skin cells.
